I agree, not everyone likes karaoke, but what I don't understand is why you even came in or stayed when you saw we had it that Saturday evening?Consistently just ok. Myself and a group had actually planned to go to another establishment in the area but they were fully booked (it was a Saturday). It was penne pasta which the whole dish was watery couldn’t taste the Gorgonzola at all the asparagus was totally over cooked.

Gaetano's Tavern on Main is a great bar & restaurant with a beautiful private banquet room for any occasion. Our servers are usually very nice, so I really would like to get to the bottom of your server being rude to you on this particular day. I can't believe we are going to be here 15 years this February, 2018. I see you have been here a few times, I'm assuming always with a work function, and we thank you and appreciate your business and do hope you do give us another try. Lastly, the bartenders are always attentive and friendly (and our favorite in town).At Gaetano's on Main it's always a special experience. To be quite honest the food wasn't even that great. Food was excellent, service good and friendly, atmosphere terrific. I have been going here for around 12 years and the employees and owners are always friendly and helpful. But it's good and I enjoy it ok.I know this review is late but in all fairness I don't go there all that often. The pot roast is to die for but get there early before they run out! I got a burger, which was pretty good, the fries were a bit bland. Didn't want to seem rude so finished the drink and figured a bottled beer was the better choice. i ordered the Mushroom Marsala Steak from their 4-course menu special. Everyone has different tastes in food, but my personal favorite is the pasta fagioli. "Burger over Rice" (with choice of potato salad, coleslaw or vegetable of the day. Might be worth a shot to visit at least...Ordered the chicken Gorgonzola. Got the check and went home. We showed the waitress who apologized and gave us a new Coors light. We were welcomed for about an hour, after which our waitress began making comments - about how she had already taken a drink order (we asked for more), she even told my guests a...Up Town location with street parking & extra parking in back. Tavern Omelet - 3 eggs, red onion, tomato, spinach, black olives, bacon, Jack & cheddar cheese. A customer was picking up a take out order and we chatted when he told me the ribs here were the best he ever had so being a man with an appetite for ribs I put in a order. With social distancing required, we weren't sure what to expect. We have used all 4 of Gaetano's areas: the restaurant side, the tavern/bar side, the back room for catered parties and sat outside on the "patio". Oh, and it was my birthday. I did say I didn't understand why you felt the need to go on line to write a bad review and ruin our reputation but that seemed to make you even more angry, so you told me you were going to write a bad review but now it's going to be even worse. Debbie and Cheryl, co-owners of Gaetano's have made Gaetano's Tavern on Main a place to be in Wallingford. Bring the whole family to this restaurant, where kiddos are welcomed with open arms. The only thing I could say about that is that I wish our space was a bit bigger - the seating arrangement outside seems a little tight with the heater right next to us.

During the warmer weather there is an outside seating area in front of the building. At that point, I decided to leave because I was so embarrassed and upset. The management here is wonderful; I've been here twice and both times the owner stopped by to ask us how we were doing. Garlic Parmesan wings were delicious, maybe even the best I've ever had. I've been coming to Tavern (aka Gaetano's) for years. Just the appetizer size is enough to be called a meal. Gaetano's Tavern attracts a lively night-life with a younger crowd and the dining area is perfect for families and friends to gather.

This beer was dated for 12/15/2020 proving that it was in fact the expiration date. Got a Coors light, after taking the first sip I tasted some sort of metallic terrible taste. Whoever Ben is, he should be ashamed of his behavior.This review might be long but I might have a lot to say....You are the owner?! Unfortunately, after last night, it'll probably be my last. Totally disappointed. We were there on 7/17/2020 but the bottles were dated for 05/2020. The restaurant itself is in a classic building with attractive storefront entrance and big widows. !We came by for dinner on a Friday night, the place was nearly full but not crowded. Staff was very nice and was able to accommodate our large group as we just stopped in for drinks and appetizers. The bartenders and the waitstaff are extremely friendly and helpful. Best apps include the Fried Oysters, the Sliders and the Sicilian Calamari. BEST HAPPY HOUR PRICES AROUND!!!
