Fortunately, we were planning to use the Rockler Drop down workbench casters so we added 4″ to the overall height to begin with. The table saw cart is perfect for my saw and shop space.

I purchase this saw about 14 months ago so it’s possible the newer model has a different fence.I’m sorry totally had missed the section where you specified that exactly. When I got back to the first side I made a larger strip.I used my calipers to measure the front and back of the strip. But, I would caution those that intend to build this that it is about 4″ shorter than a standard table saw height (34″).

The front fence is basically to just hold the sled together once it’s cut. Also, not sure why but our final height ended up 1/4″ too tall to be flush with the height of the saw (Dewalt DWE7480 also 13 1/8″ tall) We’re using 1/2″ plywood for the top level work surface. I finished it up by squaring up the end of each slot with a chisel for a nice clean look.You could also just use multiple passes on the table saw to make a groove the length of the fence.

My shed shop has low ceilings so I prefer a lower workbench. I’ll use this cut line to set the back fence of the table saw sled.Then I flipped it back and clamped the fence in place, squaring it to the cut line as best I could.I secured one screw on the near end and in the extra hole on the far end.To adjust the fence I’m using the William Ng 5 cut method, but simplified.
