COVID-19 Telemedicine Update. By offering telehealth assessments, we are able to connect individuals with the treatment resources they need without them having to leave the safety of their homes.
The measures that societies around the globe have taken to mitigate and slow the spread of this virus – while necessary – have had significant consequences. Staff and patients are monitored to ensure that these protocols are never broken and to maintain accountability.In compliance with state and federal regulations, visitation has been suspended at all of the facilities within our network.

This is a necessary measure that was taken to protect our patients and staff and reduce the risks associated with COVID-19. We have over 40,000 employees providing care to 75,000 patients daily across the spectrum of behavioral health illnesses, substance abuse disorders and addictions. Similarly, our telehealth programming services give patients the ability to engage in programming without needing to step outside of their residences. As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventive measures that Acadia has put in place at all of the facilities within our treatment network. Additionally, routine monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19 in both patients and staff is required.Social distancing strategies have been implemented so that patients and staff maintain a distance of no less than six feet away from one another at all times. There are strict procedures for cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces, and cleaning service contracts were extended for additional support. My focus – as well as that of our senior leadership and Board of Directors – is firmly on the well-being of everyone in our facilities, while maintaining the quality of our patient care. However, because we know how important it is that our patients have the support of their family members and loved ones, we are offering telehealth visitation services via phone and virtual communication platforms when clinically appropriate.Telehealth services are also being utilized for assessments and certain outpatient programs, including a number of partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs throughout our network.
