After a brief spell working as a trainee travel agent for Thomas Cook he worked for a number of years in the Civil Service as a draughtsman and later found regular work as a graphic designer.Peter moved up to Leeds in 1972 into the house in Chapeltown where he still lives and works today.

It will include work never shown before, or not seen in decades, and will reach out beyond the boundaries of Peter’s adopted home to cover work made between the 1970s and now across Yorkshire – in Sheffield, Scarborough, Harrogate, Harewood, and the Derwent Valley, among other locations. In 2020/2021 we want to open a permanent gallery and exhibition space where we can showcase our People’s Archive alongside work from our featured photographers.
