The awfulness of the farm in winter, the dead animals, the odd parents and the feeling of unease was so powerful, you really felt afraid.Junior and Hen enjoy an easy, quiet life on their farm outside the city.

I liked the story and the characters were well-written.

Much like Iain Reid’s first novel this is a great novel, deeply unsettling in parts and keeps you on the edge of your seat!
No one understands me the way she does. I gave the book five stars because I have not read anything like it except his other book, I'm Thinking of Ending Things.
I loved the author's debut novel, I'm Thinking of Ending Things, but this second book felt off. Follow him on Twitter @Reid_Iain. He needn’t worry though - Hen will be well taken care of by some.. familiar company. Seriously.
He is told that this is a good thing and a fantastic opportunity.
Reid is unique in so many ways and he shouldn’t be compared to anyone because his work is hauntingly beautiful.

. Great plot and very thought-provoking After finishing the book and getting to the bug at the end I started to peel back the layers of the onion and I found something MUCH DEEPER.
