Our picture perfect food is always served … We...Mediocre meal, beef bento box beef was ok but ,goyza awful as was the miso, ordered a side order of ribs got them after I finished my meal as they went to the table beside us... no apology. The fish was fresh and love had clearly gone...Me and my partner visited York this weekend and decided to end our Saturday night with some sushi. The sushi (as with a lot of sushi places in the UK) is a bit pricy but it was nice for a treat. I have been going there randomly for the last 10 years and although my last visit was last year, this place has always represented a firm reliable and constant place. And make sure to try the tuna sashimi!Nice decor.
Cost is acceptable/reasonable. Would rather eat this kind of flavorful sushi made...We came here for a work lunch and it seemed some of my colleagues had pre-ordered but I chose from the menu. I haven’t been to a sushi restaurant before so I was nervous ordering the food. Water served in dirty jug. The sushi was ok, the sashimi was not as fresh as we are used to, we sent the ikura back which the ikura nigiri was replaced but not the ikura...Amazing tuna and the sashimi was out of this world. The only downside were the makis, which weren’t on par with the rest of the sushi and the slightly slow...Wow the sushi here is good and my expectations are always hard to meet when it comes to sushi.
